What is the Accuracy Factor?
In the noise of real-time markets, false signals can be as costly as silence. The Accuracy Factor takes your bot's decision-making a step higher. Instead of trading on every indicator crossover, you set a minimum prediction confidence threshold. The bot will only execute a trade when multiple indicators align and the underlying ML models report the move with a high degree of statistical certainty. It is about quality of signal, not quantity.
How Does It Work?
The Accuracy Factor works by setting a minimum confidence score (between 0.0 and 1.0) that a signal must reach before the bot acts. When an indicator generates a buy or sell signal, the ML prediction pipeline assigns a confidence value. If that value falls below your threshold, the signal is filtered out. This reduces the total number of trades but focuses on higher-conviction opportunities.
Using It in BitThor
Open your bot configuration and locate the Accuracy Factor setting. A value of 0.5 means the bot requires at least 50% confidence from the ML pipeline before executing. Higher values (0.7-0.9) produce fewer trades with stronger signal alignment. Start conservative and adjust based on your simulation results.
Tips for Beginners
-
Start with a threshold of 0.5 and gradually increase as you study the impact on simulation results.
-
Higher accuracy thresholds produce fewer but potentially more focused trades.
-
The Accuracy Factor filters signals based on prediction confidence and does not guarantee signal correctness. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
