What is Price Compared to the HT Trendline?
This one takes a beautifully simple approach. Instead of looking at whether the Hilbert Transform trendline is tilting up or down, it just asks: is the current price above or below the trendline? Think of the trendline like a river. When price is above it, the bulls are in charge — the market has the wind at its back. When price dips below it, the bears have taken over. It's intuitive, easy to follow, and because the Hilbert Transform has less lag than traditional moving averages, the signals come through sooner.
How Does It Work?
The bot continuously compares the current closing price to the Hilbert Transform Instantaneous Trendline. When price crosses above the trendline, the bot signals Buy. When price drops below it, the bot signals Sell. Simple as that — and because the HT trendline reacts faster than a regular moving average, those crossover signals tend to be more timely.
Using It in BitThor
Select Price Compared to HT Transform Trend Line in the bot's indicator config. It's very easy to understand and can serve as the main signal in your strategy. Add a volume-based indicator as a sidekick to confirm that real trading activity is backing up the signal.
Tips for Beginners
-
About as clear as signals get — price above the line means buy, below means sell. Great for traders who prefer simplicity.
-
Works well as a primary indicator. Add a volume indicator as a second opinion before the bot pulls the trigger.
-
In wild, volatile markets expect more frequent crossovers. Increase your decision rounds to filter out the noise.
