What is Weighted Linear Trend Forecasting?
This indicator uses weighted linear regression with exponential decay to predict the next price. In plain terms, it draws the best-fitting trend line through recent prices — but with a twist: recent prices matter far more than older ones (using a decay factor of 0.98). The trend line is then extended one bar into the future to predict where price is heading next. This works especially well in trending markets where prices have clear directional momentum. How Does It Work?
